Surrender to God

Thanksgiving

Affection

What would your wife say if you went a month without showing her affection? Well! The good Lord, when you do not go to Communion, tells himself that you do not love him. It does not go into your soul anymore.

When you have a close friend, do you go weeks, months without going to see him, without showing him signs of affection, without knowing what to say to him?

Help

It is terrible how badly people ask us to help them. They take us for God.

Soul

Go to the Oratory, put your soul in order with the good Lord, you will come back better prepared.

Go to Communion often; the body needs food; the soul needs it even more.

Have confidence, the good Lord only afflicts to reward the faithful soul.

The soul of a child is formed on a mother’s lap.

Let us ask for many graces from Saint Joseph; he will get them all for us if they are useful to your soul.

One day they said to Brother André: “You should go to bed earlier; you extend your prayers. Instead, offer your sleep to the Lord.” He replied, “If you knew the need of souls for prayer, you wouldn’t say that.”

Sometimes, when the good Lord wants to make a soul suffer, he closes the eyes of the superiors. For example, you are overloaded with work, you are asked for even more; accept anyway.

Pray for the souls in Purgatory. We ourselves will need prayers after our death.

When I see that I am dealing with a sinner, I remind him that his soul has been redeemed by the blood of Our Lord. And so, I encourage him to go to confession and receive Communion. Often, too, I tell him about the Passion of Our Lord.

When a soul has done something for the good Lord, he pays for it with suffering.

How good God is, how beautiful he is! Yes, He is beautiful, since the soul, which is but a reflection of his beauty, is so beautiful.

Remember, God expects you to do something for him. He died because he needed souls, and that is what he wants from you.

Saint Joseph does not only heal diseases of the body; but also, those of the soul when we go to confession and receive Holy Communion.

If the soul is sick, the first thing to do is to heal the soul.

If you miss one meal and then another, and you get into the habit of skipping meals, your body is weakened. Likewise, the soul weakens if they deprive her of communion; she then falls into sin, then she dies.

The sufferings that the good Lord sends us are like the visits that the good Lord likes to make to his best friends.

Material possessions

One should not be attached to the goods of the earth, otherwise one cannot be attached to God.

You know, you do not have to get attached to the things of the earth if you want to be a good Christian.

Happiness

The happiness we experience in the house of the Lord is so great that we always find new favors there that put us above the pleasures of the world that we can find amid all dangers.

Heaven is the great reward, the only one that we should expect from the good Lord in return for our merits; heaven is perfect happiness.

My sufferings, I accept them with happiness. Sorrows are kisses of love that Jesus crucified gives us.

What greater happiness than religious life, so painful in appearance, but so happy. Now all we must do is ask this same Providence to call other family members to such a happy life.

Goodness

It is impossible to measure the extent of divine goodness.

Goodness, O my God, is pouring out so much from your heart! That the good God is strong!

The healings and favors obtained at the Oratory are proofs of the goodness of God, thanks to the intervention of Saint Joseph.

We do not talk enough about divine goodness. But we must be ready, the good Lord told us he would come like a thief.

Hymns

When I am not sleepy, I go back to hymns to Saint Joseph, to the Blessed Virgin, Psalms, and I end up falling asleep again.

Luck

It is not very fortunate to come and ask Saint Joseph for miracles when you come with someone else’s wife.

Thank the good Lord for coming to visit you through the ordeal; you are very lucky. If we knew the value of suffering, we would ask for it on our knees and with our hands clasped.

Rosary

To a friend who said that he did not have time to recite the Rosary, Brother André replied: “If you really wanted to, you could find the time to recite it.”

Make novenas of rosaries and communions in honor of Saint Joseph.

The recitation of the Rosary is the best weapon.

In the evening, during the family prayer, I was near my mother and I followed on her rosary.

When you were young you must have learned on your mother’s knees the morning and evening prayers and the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin and many other prayers. – “It’s the same thing again; these are beautiful prayers that the good Lord is very happy to hear us repeat.”

Often recite the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin; it is the best devotion to Mary.

On long journeys by car, Brother André would say: “We are going to pray to the Blessed Virgin”, and he would recite the Rosary.

Chapel

Go to the chapel to put your conscience at peace and then you will come back.

Go to the chapel to pray to Saint Joseph and venerate the relic of Saint Joseph, and you will be healed.

He was a porter at the college, and he went to pray in the mountains. We come to get him; he is found on his knees – “Brother André, why don’t you come? It is supper time! ” – “I cannot go away. Saint Joseph wants me to promise him to build a chapel. “

On Sunday, October 30, lightning fell again “on the chapel on the mountain.” As if the demon was furious. That day a boy was hit, and he fell unconscious. Everyone thought he was going to die. The “good Brother André” approaches; “The young man recovered and came down the mountain very much at ease.”

Brother André led Mr. Azarias Claude to the top of the mountain, behind the small chapel and after having described to him the beauties of the landscape, he said to him: “It seems to me that we are approaching the sky, from a similar height.”

You can pray anywhere, even while working, without having to go to a church or a chapel.

A mason, Calixte Richard, had a tumor in his stomach. Brother André said to him: “If Saint Joseph healed you, would you come and work at my kiosk up there?” – “Willingly …” murmurs the mason. The next day, Richard came to lunch with Brother André. He then began to work, and worked this way for several months, without feeling any pain. And after several years, they took down the kiosk and built the little chapel with two large doors.

Charity

It is to be good for nothing to be useful to anyone.

The good Lord does not ask us to be martyred. He asks us to live as a good Christian and to observe the commandments that the Church commands to practice, such as charity, love of God and of neighbor.

My joke, it might not sound fine, but it avoids missing out on charity.

Our Lord is our big brother. We little brothers must therefore love each other as members of the same family.

It sounds crazy sometimes to hijack conversations that threaten charity, but this prevents breaches of charity.

For people who have money, it would be a good opportunity for them to practice charity, helping poor families.

Practicing charity towards others does not only mean taking one’s money and giving it to the poor.

If we really loved God as we should love him, it would be easier to practice patience and charity.

Way of the cross

It is there, in the Oratory, that a Christian can make his way of the cross every day, accepting all the crosses that may come their way every day.

What pleases our great Master most is a Stations of the Cross done in all its meaning.

How beautiful it is to see this crowd following the stations! How there will be conversions on the Stations of the Cross in the mountains!

There are some real good Christians who could ask for nothing better than to go to Mass and do the Stations of the Cross every day if they could. God is not asking for the impossible.

To a young man: “I have the Stations of the Cross to do tomorrow, Friday, and I would like to have a companion. This is urgent. Would you like to come with me? ” The young man said to him: “Gladly.” – “It is the suffering Savior who wants it, and he is glad that you accept.”

The more pain you suffer in the Stations of the Cross, the more resemblance you will have of the divine crucified.

Heaven

The heaven is beautiful, how worth the work to have it! It is a burden to enter Heaven with your fortune. It is better to

get rid of it.

There is so little distance between heaven and earth that God always hears us. Nothing but a veil separates us from the good Lord.

The Lord cannot deny you anything when He is there in your heart. You will find strength and consolation there.

Trust in Saint Joseph

Trust in God

To those who demand healing: “You will not be heard, because you lack trust in God.”

Have confidence, the good Lord only afflicts to reward the faithful soul.

Do you believe in God? Do you trust that the good Lord can heal you?

You will not be heard, because you lack trust in God. You come to order me to heal you as if I were a doctor. If God owes you anything, go ask Him.

Consciousness

Go to the chapel to put your conscience at peace and then you will come back.

Conversions

During the great conversions that are taking place at the Oratory, I experience very great physical and moral suffering.

Regarding the miracles performed at the Oratory, Brother André said: “It is to open the eyes of the world, to convert the world; but it looks like people can’t see clearly. “

This is what pleases me the most: when I talk to a sinner and can reconcile him to God.

How beautiful it is to see this crowd following the stations! How there will be conversions on the Stations of the Cross in the mountains! I think there will be more of them than in the Basilica.

Faith in God

To an unbeliever who was dying: “You must prepare to die. We must not be afraid of Jesus. He forgave the good thief who was as guilty as you. “

To an unbeliever: “The stars that you see in the firmament, did you hang them there?”

Do you believe in God? Do you trust that the good Lord can heal you?

When we have done our best, we must have confidence in the good Lord. It would be an insult to him to believe that we will not go to heaven if we have done our best.

If you do not believe in God, you will not get anything.

Cross

To pray well, we must think of Jesus on the cross. Is it possible to be distracted when you see your brother crucified?

What big sacrifices are you making for Jesus who died on the cross to redeem us? Oh! If we loved the good Lord!

A Christian can make his way of the cross every day, accepting all the crosses well.

Crucified

My sufferings, I accept them with happiness. Sorrows are kisses of love that Jesus crucified gives us.

The more pain you suffer in the Stations of the Cross, the more resemblance you will have to the divine crucified.

To pray well, we must think of Jesus on the cross. Is it possible to be distracted when you see your brother crucified?

Crucifix

Accept your sufferings with resignation. So, look at your crucifix.
