SAINT BROTHER ANDRE – HOPE FOR THE SICK
A PATH OF HOPE
May Saint Brother André be a source of inspiration and hope for each of us at this time when we are all affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Brother André reminds us that there are no blocked situations or trials that cannot be overcome. There is always a path of hope for those who know how to trust. In many respects, life is not much easier today than it was in Brother André’s time. Many people are faced with poverty, illness, precarious work, loneliness. We live with uncertainties about the future. Sometimes we have trouble finding our way there.
Brother André stood firm in the face of great trials of life. His unshakable faith in God’s love was a source of courage, perseverance and above all, a source of unfailing confidence for many people. We realize that Brother André is always present and active in the lives of those who invoke him. Brother André draws our gaze to Jesus. He reminds us, in Him, we find strength and courage to meet the challenges, overcome the obstacles encountered on our way. Following Brother André, it is enough to believe, to trust in this God who loves us and to open the door of our heart to others. This is the path of hope.
In these difficult times, following the example of Saint Brother André and Saint Joseph, let us place our trust in the Lord. He will be able to broaden our gaze, give us a bigger heart to welcome and love, heal, and give hope around us. Brother Andre will help us to hold on the road of life and to keep courage and perseverance in these difficult times.
